It is to determine who gets 3rd in the cup. It is funny because you may think that the teams will not play with the same effort or even care anymore as they know the cup is out of their reach. I think Portugal will be more satisfied for 3rd place than Germany though, since this is the furtherst they have been.

Though they would not be the Champion or Runners-up, there's still much pride to play for.
