i will be using it only for personal use once in a blue moon, most of the time it will be off, but what is the best cheepest way. How does sending a fax international work? what are the fees? I guess it depends on what country you are sending it to. Can someone fill me in on the details and the fees. thanks so much :)

why pay for something you are not going to use i guess i could just go on hook dial right ?

Not unless you are connected within a network that shares the IP connection---then a distinctive ringer will single out your fax as the one the call is coming into.......

not unless you want faxes ringing your number and the FAX set to pick up after 3-5 righs and beating out your answering machine to pick up voice calls.

Although it would be nice, the answer is no. You can simply set your fax to "Manual" or set it so it picks up after "X" amount of rings. Set it to manual if you have voicemail or an answering machine.

No mine is just a regular phone with regular ring and I have no problems, but I only switch on my fax when i need it.
