And by good, I don't mean emo or green day or crap on the radio... I mean bands like NOFX, RX Bandits, Leftover Crack/Choking Victim, Descendants, Rancid, Folly, Op Ivy, etc etc etc... I'm 22, and it seems all women listen to is hip hop and the crap on the radio... very upsetting.

The only thing you've listed that I like is Choking Victim.
But I listen to punk aswell.
I'm into:
The Misfits, The Exploited, The Damned, Crass, The Soviettes, The Devotchkas, Dead Kennedys, Dropkick Murphys, Social Distortion, The Ramones, Sham 69, Sleater-Kinney, Sex Pistols, The Adicts, The Clash, X, Bear Vs. Shark, Bauhaus etc...so nope, you're not alone....=)

i dont listen to much punk but what i do listen to i think is good. I am in love with the Misfits.
I loved Green Day YEARS ago when they where not on the radio.
I like on song by NOFX......you know the one about ....@ the end of the longest line that is the place that I will always be @ the end of the longest line.
Also, I have recently fallen in love with the Distillers but I am not sure if you will call them punk.
Oh and I hate the crap on the radio.
And just to let you know I am a girl, I am 23.

I'm 18, I'm right there with you. Have you heard the new RX Bandits CD? It's really good. I've been listening to Rancid since I was "little." By the way, everyone's musical taste on here sucks as far as I've seen. The majority loves Justin Timberlake and Panic at the disco. So I wouldn't base your opinion on the music scene on this site...

You are young but you have good music picks. I Like screeching weasel and janes addiction, The Movie Life, Get Up Kids, AFI, Go to your local record store not one in the mall a place that still sells vinal. Go chaeck out shows at bars thats where all the bands start out then 5yrs later they sound different and are on Mtv.

Crack Rock Steady! I saw Choking Victim in Brookyln about a month ago, it was mad cool. There are a lot of girls out there who listen to punk, you've just got to look. Try going to local shows.

I'm 22 also and for your information not ALL women listen to hip hop. I personally hate hip hop and I listen to all kinda rock music. I love rock more than any other music, but I definitely cannot stand hip hop.
