The way I mix - is - I first put in one ounce of oil - then add 45 ounces of gas.
Shaken not stirred

if you get a 6 gallon gas tank you can put a pint of evinrude motor oil or any other motor oil, and then fill the gas tank to the fill line. That is the perfect ratio that you need.
