BE CAREFUL. He may be a O. CHEM genious, but who cares. Your safety is the only matter here. Ask your Chem Teacher if he/she knows some good Tutors. Ther is just something alarming about a Janitor offering to tutor (can he give you refereces? names & phone #s of people he has tutored before? if not turn around and walk away, then find a new IHOP to eat at) And above all: ALWAYS TUTOR IN PUBLIC PLACES OR AT HOME WITH YOUR PARENTS AT HOME!!!!!!!!!!! Your education is very important, but NEVER more so than your safety.

You know what your parents would say, you don't need to ask us. They see the red flags waving all over the place, warning of a potential fraud or sexual predator. At the very least, check background and meet publicly. That said, I've seen brilliant, good people doing stranger things. Check local schools or tutoring programs for reasonable fees and conditions.
