Cooper? There is the Mini connection, and that is not all that bad a thing. Then you can always teach him about James Fennimore Cooper, from new jersey (poet I think). I know quite few couples have named a son Cooper.

That is so funny! Cooper Pooper! i am laughing my butt off! Maybe call him by a nick name that won't sound like something you can make a ryming game out of.

Cooper...like flown the Coop? Oh what a stupid name.

My mother told me that Jerimiah reminded her of that stupid song about Jerimiah was a bullfrog. So I named my son Kyle.

Tell them it's a stupid name, and if they still want to call him that, then just call the kid Cooper the Pooper, get him used to it before his little heart breaks in school.

If you're worried about the kid being made fun of cause of his name, there's not too many names that can be made fun of.

Plus, how do you know that he won't be the kid that everyone likes in school?

I think Cooper is a cute name.

That or worse who knows, but that would be their problem. Not yours. Have you mentioned it to them?? If they really like that name, maybe they can keep it but use it as a middle name instead, talk to them not us.
