how do i copy link codes to display both the banner and the hyperlink if i am using publisher?

I am setting up a website and dont understand what i need to do with the link codes for advertising banners? Can anyone please help. I am currently using Publisher which seems to be working fine so far. its me thats the problem.

Publisher does work fine but the result isn't search engine friendly... there are lots of better packages... i use frontpage... it's easy and good... but I'm sure there are better... In frontpage i could answer your question, in publisher, sorry....
