I'm guessing everybody leaves the most important person in their lives at some point. A parent or other relative, a good friend, a teacher or boss, a significant other - we've left them all, or will. Doesn't mean we can't go back sometime later.

been there, done that, and regret it to this day. even though we are still close, (26 years) i will never forgive myself for breaking up with him. he is still a big part of my life and i love him so much. we are both single, but he said he can't go back, so i'm ok with being able to be around him
