Apply for grants, scholarships, and student loans.
Go to http://www.fastweb.com and fill out the forms there, to find out what you qualify for. There are also ongoing lists of available scholarships to apply for, throughout your academic years.
I agree with previous answer ... do first two years at a community college, then transfer to university. Live as frugally as possible ... don't waste money or run up credit card bills while in college.
You can also work while in college, at student jobs, work study jobs, tutoring, etc. Some students have gotten very creative lately about raising money for college, research all you can.
If you end up with unavoidable debts to get a degree, don't worry about it, just pay it with the rest of your bills once you enter the work world, and be thankful you were able to get the degree.
Go for it!!

Try looking into a company called Sallie Mae. They are the largest Student Loan company in the country. If you work for them they offer loan reimbursment and tuition assistance. This means you could take out a loan through then, work for them through college and they would pay your loan back. Other ideas are to look into grants or branch out on your own so your parents credit score is not a factor. Hope this helps. good luck!!

Start with a Federal student loan-- try http://salliemae.com. Student loans won't cover all of your tuition but will make a big dent. Also consider taking your first 2 years at community college and your second 2 years at a more prestigous college/university. You will save thousands of dollars and in the long run, it does not matter very much where you take those first two years.

Join the military, sign up for the G.I. Bill and the G.I. Bill extension. Then when your enlistment is up, you will be eligible for close to 40 grand in money for college.
It's the best way to go to college and not have to incur in debt.
