I'm sorry, but I don't know HOW you'll get him to propose!

Sounds like maybe you are more into this relationship than he is.

Why don't you take this time to re-evaluate the relationship?

Do you have common interests? Do you share the same level of affection/intimacy? Do you communicate well with each other? Do you have the same goals for the future? Are you seeing enough/too much of each other?

I think if you take a few minutes to answer these questions (and think of more on your own) it will give you a better idea as to why he hasn't proposed!

I wish I knew more about your relationship to better answer your question! I hope you find what I've suggested to be helpful.
GOOD LUCK!!!! : )

He'll propose when he is ready. You shouldn't force it. In my opinion a man's decision to get married should come around because he chose it and not because he felt forced. Has he told you that he wants to get married eventually? if he's one of those guys that cant picture himself married then he's a lost case and just move on because marriage should be something that both of you want. Be patient because if ur relationship is going well and you both love each other then he'll propose without having to be pushed. good luck : )

I would bring up the subject casually. I'm sure you've had conversations about goals for your life and such. Did he ever want to get married? Tell him about your life goals. Perhaps he doesn't realize that is what you want right now?

Marriage should only occur when both partners are ready. If he's not ready, don't force the issue. Ask him questions to find out what he thinks his life will look like when he is ready. Then you have to decide if you can wait it out.

You are interested in an elaborate wedding to appease family and friends.
He is not interested in a piece of paper to validate the love he may have for you.
If he does decide to walk down the aisle. Then, expect a short lived marriage and the debt you both incurred, will become community property. But, check the law in your state.

You shouldn't have to get him to propose he will either do it soon or never. Tell him what you want if he gives you the run a round leave him find someone who is not affraid of a commitment.

You should propose to him. This is 2006 and the man doesn't have to always be the one to ask. If you want it, then you may have to be the one to initiate it.

Make a romantic dinner and then sing to him the Sandler song from Wedding Singer:
I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

A simple I love you and A kiss after that,,, less said is better.

His proposing date has expired. You should just go ahead and plan for the wedding and get registered at the Marriage Registrar. If he doesn't want to go along with it, at least you know where he stands.....he's stringing you along.
