The truth is the person you knew won't be there. The only thing that is there is an old cast off shell that is no more important than an old shirt that has been thrown away. You will probably feel sad or weepy. You may find memories of the person that haven't come to mind in a while. you will probably be blue for a while.

It's very easy to get sad and depressed, so you need to remember how wonderful they were. Some good ideas would be to take a photo of you and your friend doing something fun and memorable. Talk about your feelings from that day aloud to at your friends grave. Leave the picture as a memento. You will cry, but doing this may make it easier to think of the goodness they shared with you, as opposed to the loss you feel.
Good luck, God bless, and Godspeed.

I had a friend who passed away in a horrible car crash last year, It broke my heart, and I hadnt seen much of her before the crash, but when the news came around of her death It had me crying for ages after and everytime i hear the song that was played at her funeral (ill be missing you- puff daddy) it always bring tears to my eyes, you just gotta hang in there and be strong. <3

It's deep feeling. I had a friend pass away during our 12th summer from a brain tumer. It's very hard to go and see her, but you have this deep urge all the time just to reafirm the fact that yes, she is gone, but she still is watching out for you.

That is very sweet of you to remember them. Try to remember the happy times etc- it's always nice to bring fresh flowers to put on their grave. It is not easy to deal with esp when someone dies young or in such a violent way.

It depends on where you stand. Have you resolved any personal feelings you have about the situation? If not, it could be emotional. If so, it could just be a respectful visit.

I haven't, but I would imagine that it will be painful especially if you were close with the person. But you should, so you can say your final goodbyes and maybe visit that person some more.
