For the longest time I didn't even know they had another daughter. Why wasn't she shown or even mentioned?

I think she wanted to be a star in her own right. But as for why she was never mentioned I really don't know.

She was mentioned and talked about, but she didn't agree with the show and didn't want to be exploited. So when she was at the house they blurred out her face because she wouldn't sign the permission wavers. There was one Thanksgiving episode where they did show her face though. I think it was the second season Thanksgiving episode.
EDIT: She's not Sharon's daughter, but was talked about...very little though.

Hearsay is, she's embarassed by the whole TV show concept, and by her family, and wanted no part of the circus. Sounds like a perfect rationale to me.

she didn't want to be apart of the show, so she got an apartment and wasn't included. they show her in a few episodes, there is one where there is a crazy cat in their guest house/apt, and she is in that scene. she has been public about the fact that she didnt' want to be involoved. i guess she felt she wasn't as crazy as her fam.

She didn't want to be involved at all. She moved out rather than participate.

she doesn't really get along with ozzy and the family. So she didn't want to be apart of something she doesn't like.
