i cant believe that anyone would honestly think that god would have such an ego as to ban anyone to eternity in hell for not believing in him.
i believe just the opposite. would god send a 5 year old kid to hell for not believing in him? even though that five year isn't old enough to understand what god is? or would he kill a man who was brought up in a home that never taught him about god but still brought him up to love his fellow man and live a good life?! i dont think so. . . god isn't cruel.
but to answer what you are now asking, i would live a good life even if it meant going to hell, at least i would like myself. i dont do drugs because i dont want to, i dont not do them for anyone else but myself. ya know?! at least in the end, if i had nothing else but my self-respect, and the knowledge that my family and friends back on earth will hae great memories of me, i think that would be worth it

I think that if you lived your life with the intention of doing evil and then repenting for your sins merely to escape the consequences you would go to hell. It would not be true repentance because you would be doing so for the wrong selfish reasons. You can have a life full of sin and then truly realize how horrible your life has been and feel remorse for the way you have lived it then repent and be forgiven. But you have to do it for the reason of truly desiring absolution so that you can commit to living a good life or at the very least for the man on his death bed the heart felt want and realization that he should be a better person. I think that as long as the killer is sincere both of these men have a good chance of avoiding hell. Though they would both likely end up in purgatory somewhere. That is if you believe in purgatory some Christians don't, I know. I think people should try and live good lives in this case because trying to sincerely repent for all your wrongs late in life seems like a difficult things to do. I stress the sincerely.

Well, did the guy that did all these horrible things truely repent? or was it like "making up for lost time"? Did he really feel like he was wrong? did he really regret it? did he really intend upon becoming a better person? Or was he just making a plea at the end of his life, to buy back all the rotten things he'd done? I think devine forgiveness is smarter than any earthly judgement, it can see into a persons heart and soul.
If a good person when given the opportunity to face their God, still denies he is God... did he want to go into that Gods house anyway? This person then, on their own terms... live as a good person... and their fiinal decision when they are face to face with it.... will determine their fate.
Reguardless of what there really is after this, I will live as though there is a heaven, and do the best I can to live so that when I must explain myself for mistakes I've made... I will be able to use them as examples of what I've learned.

Repentance is just a part of it. You must receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and His living within you causes you to WANT to repent of your sins. Are you telling me that the "someone who leads a good life" NEVER sinned? That's not possible. All of us are sinners and "fall short of the glory of God." Christians strife to live a good life - our conscience and Holy Spirit direct us to. Sure we err, but no sin is unpardonable in God's eyes except continuing to deny Christ. I really don't understand your #3 - "one doesn't know what out actions involves???" Has no one ever shared the Gospel or The Roman Road to Salvation with you? Only those have absolutely no idea what their sinful actions involve.

I think that the killer would go to Heaven if he really repents and accepts Jesus as his savior. God is merciful and no one would deserve going to Heaven on their own merit unless they were 100% perfect. No one is without sin, so the person who denies God the opportunity to forgive him and save him is choosing to go to Hell. If someone seeks the truth he or she will find it and will be saved. If they have no chance of hearing about and accepting salvation, God will not send them to Hell. He is fair and loving, not cruel. However, He is just and will not let sin enter Heaven, so everyone who enters must be cleansed of their sin. He doesn't delight in sending people to Hell, He loves everyone and mourns for the lost. A father can love his child but that doesn't mean he can save the child from him or herself in every situation. God gave everyone a way to be saved, but He won't make everyone accept it. It's their choice.
As for why you would want to live a good life, there are two reasons. 1. God knows everyone's motives and will not be fooled. 2. Those who try to do good will have more joy in their lives, despite the trials. They will be loved and trusted more and feel better about themselves. They will love people and be able to trust those who are worthy of trust. They will feel closer to God and will feel His love for them, so they will have peace in their lives and trust God to take care of them. And He will bless them for their efforts to love and obey Him.

mine answer would be the sinner.he has a more realistic chance.
if he really repented for his sins maybe he would be spared.
i am talking about the guys who truly repent. Not the ones who think"Okay i can commit this and that sin and i would repent later"
if god is what bible claims to be All loving and all then do gooder guy and the sinner who truly repented may go to heaven
I dont think that the God would be jealousand egoistic and send the guy who commited no sin but prayed to other God,to hell.why that would make him (God) apetty person like us. i think that is mere Church propaganda

How do you honestly feel? If you just croak something out, God will see that you are not truly repentant and it doesn't count.
If you genuinely are sorry, you may end up in purgatory to purify yourself, but you get into heaven.
And how does someone deny God? Don't confuse dogma with the reality.

if hell exists then it must be a 10000 times bigger than earth and heaven , so with such a big space you will definitely find a reservation for you there. there wont be a long waiting line. i wont accept going to hell next to Hitler, Saddam, baby killers and rapers just for drinking some booze and having Little fun in my life. it's not fair and if there is god he will be fair and because you can't make a moderate hell so you wont be sent there unless you have done some real **** in your life

For me, the only person who has the chance or "will" go to hell is the perso who did not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior before they die. Co'z It's not about what you do, or what you did, or what your religion, even if you are a murderer, a sinner or anything. It's all about you and God, it's you and your relation to him...

Actually I can't wait to see the looks on the faces of the ones who go to church and preach it on everyone and act all prim and proper but yet slap god right in the face by acting as tho god doesn't know what really goes on behind their closed doors or in their messed up heads.
I want to be in line behind them with a big grin on my face :)
