Yes, a girl can get pregnant while she is having her period, though
the chances are less than at most other times of her cycle. According
to the Childbirth by Choice Trust in Canada this can happen "If a
woman ovulates (releases an egg) early and if her period is long, some
fertile mucus could be present during the last days of her period.
Sperm could survive long enough in this mucus to meet the egg."
The fertility cycle goes like this, after a girl's period begins [the
start of her cycle] estrogen and progesterone hormone levels are low.
These increase over the next two weeks and peak at 14 days after her
period beins. At this hormone peak, an egg is realeased and travels
down the fallopian tubes to the uterus. This egg has roughly 12-24
hours to be fertilized before it dies. This is the time when it is
most likely for a woman to get pregnant. You must also keep in mind
that sperm can live for up to 3-5 days inside a woman's body so this
will increase her chances of pregnancy during this ovulation window,
even if you have sex before the egg is released. It is also more
likely that a girl can get pregnant during sex if she is a teenager or
has not been menstruating for a long time because she is more likely
to have irregular periods which can mean the egg is still capable of
getting fertilized even if she is bleeding.

Yes it is very possible to get pregnant while on your cycle. Normal cycles can run between 3 to 7 days. A 5 day period is about average.

yes.
a woman *can* get pregnant while she is having her period.
typically, ovulation (release of egg from ovary) occurs about mid-way through a woman's mentrual cycle (about 2 weeks after your last period).
but it's pretty close to impossible to determine when *you* ovulate without some monitoring or a dr's exam.
if you had your period, that probably means you are not pregnant-- even though you had sex at that time. no way to be sure unless you have a pregnancy test done, though.

From what i've learned in sex-ed (which, I know, isn't all that reliable these days) is that you can get pregnant at any point in your cycle. Even during your period. I don't think it would cause your period to stop suddenly, but you should probably get tested just in case. Good luck...

the risk of getting pregnant is much higher when your ovulating, either right before and after also. Thats why women plan on when their period is coming to have sex if they are trying to have a baby. They wait for their fertile days

5 days is about normal isn't it?
and if the sexual activity happened at the onset of menses you are probably safe. The fertilized egg needs the blood engorged lining of the uterus to survive. In a lot of cases the egg will slough off with the menstrual blood.

its a very far far out there possibility (stranger things have happened) but very, very unlikely. I'd say about 98% unlikley. its only for a few days in the very middle of a womans cycle she can concieve. however, if you are irregular, or if the odd chance your ovaries release an odd egg at just the wrong moment...

you may continually get pregnant. there is not any era in a menstrual cycle even as a lady ought to correctly be seen sterile. there's a era the position the lady is somewhat a lot less weak to getting impregnated, and, except i'm flawed, it really is frequently 2 weeks after the era.
