I try to diet and nothing works. I delivered 3 months ago and am nursing. I thought that nursing uses about 300-500 extra calories. With diet and nursing I should be dropping the pounds. I lost 25 initially from baby, water, placenta etc...I still have about 40 more to go and the weight hasn't budged for 2 1/2 months. Any help? PLEASE???serious answers only

Drink a glass of water upon rising each morning, eat a big breakfast, drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day, walk an hour a day nonstop, dont eat after 6pm, consume organic virgin/unrefined coconut oil, use organic apple cider vinegar-few teaspoons before every meal and ud see results, most importantly detox the body a proper 21 day juice fast will completely detox your body, add hot peppers to your diet-they increase metabolism,DONT use artificial sweeteners/aspartame, soy is not good for you it actually contains a natural toxin which is harmful to us in many ways. Get a mini trampoline and jump 10-15 min a day,add musscle?- simply having muscles burns calories, i highly recommend only consuming organic foods u get much much more nutrients and no toxins- growth hormones, pesticides etc...absolutely no fastfoods or diet products. I hope you find this of helpful use. :] Heres somethings you might find of interest: got milk? -www.notmilk.com truths about soy- www.soyonlineservice.co.nz truths about vaccinations- www.nvic.org - The following is simply my opinion based what I currently know, there is no such things as facts because time and time again proves them to be wrong or different.

Congratulations new mom! You actually use 1000 calories while breastfeeding! Good for you that you chose to breast feed! It does make a difference when you are trying to lose those extra pounds from pregnancy. Just give yourself some time. It took me about 5 - 7 months before I could fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes, I breastfed also...I am about 5 pounds lighter than before having my son...but I do have a bit of a spare tire around the middle that wasn't there before. Just relax..take time to enjoy your baby..he/she will never be that little again! And you will be back to your old self in no time!

it takes time. not everyone who nurses loses their pregnancy weight as fast as they make it seem.

you should take that baby for a walk.. make it brisk... the fresh air will do baby good and the exercise will help change your metabolism.

drink lots of water... make up a short aerobics routine (15 min at a time, twice a day) -- nothing too strenuous. Start slow, step on the scale only as often as you need to and watch the salt intake... and the sweets too!

Water water water, walk walk walk... and touch your toes a few times in a row once in a while during the day!!! REPEAT!!

Oh, and honey, make sure to sleep when that precious baby sleeps... that is THE BEST advice anyone can follow. The dishes will keep...

While nursing it is hard and not healthy to try to loose too much weight. Take it slow. Try one lb. a week. Write yourself an affirmation before going to bed each night that you will be your desired weight in 40 weeks. Do it each and every night. I've been doing this for the last 1 1/2 months and am down 18 lbs. I am studying hypnosis. Let me know if it works for you.

Eating a diet that stresses protein (poultry and fish are best, unless you are a vegetarian and then soy is very good), low glycemic carbohydrates (look up a glycemic index) and good fat (olive oil for cooking, almonds or peanuts for snacking), may assist. It also will be a really good diet for your baby, who is a protein hog at this stage of life.

Keep your portions reasonably small. The protein portion should be about the size and thickness of the palm of your hand, and you do not need much carbohydrate - but if you go for the low glycemic carbs, you can eat until you feel full.

Also, don't forget in between meal snacks, of protein, carb and good fat, too. This helps keep your blood sugar level, and gives you energy during the day.

I had the same problem after I had my girls, I went to the doctor to see what the deal was. They tested my thyroid and found out that I had developed hypothyroidism from my pregnancy. It happens to lots of women and they don't even know. So maybe if you have tried everything and still the weight won't come off, try getting a thyroid blood test. Good Luck. Hope everything turns out alright.
