Cat Woman. Oh, there are many other ones out there that had bombed but this one is fairly recent and goes to show you that even with a hottie like Halle Berry (who has won an Oscar mind you) can do a movie about a comic book character and screw it up. However we can not totally blame her if the script sucked. My second choice would be Daredevil. Like what was with this movie? Was Ben Affleck still in shock over the J-Lo thing that had happened? He did meet another Jennifer in the process but maybe this is why the acting sucked (as well as the script). Some of the others mentioned were very bad as well but you have to blame the comic book in general and not the movie. Honourable Mentioned for worst movie: The Punisher (I agree both of them) Spawn Supergirl (this ticked me off, I like the Super Folks) Hulk (poor acting and story line) You get where I am going here. If you can stay to the story line without wandering off (Smallville also p***es me off) you will have a good movie. Although the new series Battlestar Galactica is doing very well changing their story lines around, it was never that good of a series anyways but I am getting off the subject. Be faithful to the comic book storyline and you will do well. Go figure.

Well, I'm going to say Batman, but it's kinda because of a technicality. There were several artists that did a lot of Batman comics and not all of them were in the same dark and macabre style. However, to compensate for this, they've made a ton of movies using different styles (my favorites being Batman and Batman Begins, they hit it pretty close to how i think it SHOULD be).

And as a side-note, The Hulk, no matter how accurate or inaccurate it was (I never got into that comic), that movie sucked on several levels.

I think Spider-man has been doing the best even though it's cast is full of horrible actors, but it adds to it's comic book feel. Like honestly Tobey Miguire (or however it's spelled) is such a hack, but I love him as Peter Parker. I also think the X-men one's have done pretty well for changing a bit of stuff. THe Hulk sucked, Daredevil sucked, Elecktra sucked, The Punisher was more suck than good. Sin City was rather good and the most accurate, then again the acting sucked but it added to the comic book feel and the film noir.

Superman by far. The Christopher Reeve movies were all top-notch, with very good acting, great special effects (for their times), and pulled everything off very very well. I know of precious few detractors of the Superman Movies.

Everyone else to hit the big screen, eh, so-so at best. Spiderman had it's fans, but I recall a lot of internet detractors, ditto for the sequel. X-men was highly anticipated by fans, and mostly eviscerated by comic-lovers for "doing it all wrong". The hulk was "okay".

I really, really like the Spiderman franchise. The special effects are topnotch and I really like the villains. The scene that blew me away was when the glass blew out of the window and you see Doc Ocs wife reflected in the shard of glass that kills her.Or when you see the car Doc Oc throws through the window reflected in the scene. Its the little things that set these movies apart from the others.
That being said the Michael Keaton Batman is a close second, because you really think that Bruce Wayne has deep psychological problems.

i agree, spiderman was pretty close to the comic books...batman was always a pretty good series too, but they were off sometimes.

i do have to say though, they never pick the right actors to play the characters. eh.

oh, and x-men was waaaaaaaay off.
