even though you may say no because of your friends and family members dying, wouldn't you want to see what becomes of humanity...think of it, you could be standing 1 light year away from earth saying what great life.

I wouldn't want to live forever, I would be happy to cancel this contract tomorrow. There is just way to much hate in this world. Just reading the questions and answers on this site sometimes makes me ill. Calling each other names because of the dumbest things. People can no longer express an opinion when it's asked for without a lot of childish name calling. I am more than a little frightened of all this hate seeping into my life. I do not understand the anger and hatred over the way some one wants to live, conservative, liberal, gay, straight...why does it cause so much hatred.? Live forever? Humanity is becoming a cess pool, why would anyone want to stay longer than necessary?

I have thought about this question before, and although it would be fantastic to be able to live forever and stay the same as you are, would things in the world become the "same old same old" after awhile since you will be living forever? And who knows what the future holds. I know that it would be wonderful to witness new technology and see marvels of progress, but things could also go the other way, and destruction of all life on the planet could instead be in the future. If you live forever, and there is world chaos and then annihilation - does that mean you then somehow are allowed to die, or are you doomed to be alone forever? Part of the fullness of life is being with the people you love, and without any other human beings on earth all activity that has a human hand in it would simply cease to function. Utilities such as gas, water and electric, any kind of food except what you scrounge for or plant yourself, just about anything you can think of, would be non-existent with no one to maintain things. Even plants and animals would most likely cease to exist if there was a global annihilation. I suppose you would not need to eat if you lived forever automatically, but it would be a barren landscape as far as the eye could see. What joy is in that? Another thought: What good is a life forever if you have to live it alone with nothing or no one to share eternity with, nothing to do to occupy the endless hours, days, years? I think I will enjoy the life I have as fully as possible, and skip the offer, thanks all the same.

no, because seeing all of my friends and family around me dying..i wouldn't be able to cope with it! sure seeing what becomes of humanity would be great, but we're all put here for a reason, to live life to the fullest with the time that we have :)

Even if you were to live forever your body has to die so your soul may go on to live "Eternal Life"
