he is not over rated. i love him more than anyone else in the world and no one can over power me when it comes to john cena. if anyone is overrated it's edge

Yep, he is over rated and Vince had to push Cena down our throats every week. I mean the guy comes into the company in fall of 2002 so say September and he gets a WWE title shot at Backlash 2003 so 7 months apart! Plus hes all over WWE.com and has alot of merchendise that sells for way too much. Oh and hes been the champ for almost a entire year from April 2005- June 2006 with only one loss to Edge at New Years Revolution in January of 2006. If the fans booing him on tv doesnt tell you something then I dont know what will....

Early on in his WWE career, he looked promising. He had an interesting gimmick but one that was bound to go stale, sooner or later. Unfortunately, he was never a good wrestler. His personality has been carrying him from day one. Ever since Vince told the Super stars to hold their tongues on air when it came to profanities and offensive language, John Cena's gimmick just crashed.
I'll admit, I liked when he rapped and "dissed" his opponents with his witty rhymes. But take that away and what's left? He's not very compelling. The only thing he's got going for him is that he's delt with people's bashings, quite well. But that's not entertaining and that's what the WWE is all about; entertainment.
Cena has got to change his gimmick. A white rapper, even if he's not half bad, is not going to have much longevity. His wrestling ability sucks. In my opinion, he's has to turn heel, first of all, and find a new gimmick. He's obviously not interested in being a technical wrestler so he has to step-up his personality.

No I don't think John Cean is over rated at all. He has come a long way from his UPW (Ultimate Pro Wrestling),OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling),first year in the WWE. I have seen him wrestle back in those days,I'll say he has alot more to his wrestling arsonal.

In my eyes someone who has watched wrestling for 31 years I can easily say that without a shadow of a doubt mr "You can't see me"-"FU" etc is one of the MOST overrated wrestlers in the HISTORY of wrestling
