Percocet is EXTREMELY addictive!!! Avoid it if at all possible! I think Percocet is one of the strongest, but if you start taking that, then your body will build up a tolerance to it after awhile and then NOTHING will work for pain.

Stick to over-the-counter medicines whenever possible, even if you have to take 3 or 4 of them (although consult with your doctor first). The last thing you want to do is develop an addiction to pain killers just because your back hurts. You need to be extremely careful with prescription medicines. If the pain is that bad, see your doctor and maybe he/she can prescribe acupuncture therapy or something to help relieve pain without putting your health at risk.

Percocet 10/650

10mg of oxycodone, 650 mg of acetaminophen (Tylenol)

i think percocet only comes in one strength. its generic name is oxycodone. this is the drug rush limburg became addicted to, and had to go into rehab for. it definitely controls pain, but as with any pain releiver it must be taken before the pain becomes too intense. some people become sleepy, while others become more animated. had you ever seen rush limburg and how animated he was on his talk show? just be very cautious while using it and follow your doctor's instructions to the "T". its very habit-forming, even for a short period of use. i was once on it for four months and realized my body was becoming use to it and without it i became very moody, after taking a dose, i became more tolerable. please use caution and do not abuse it!
