Not from Massachusetts, I would never having voted for such a lying, cheating, murdering Democrat. His has all made the news each time being made up by some person wanting to slander good people with no proof.
He has rarely done a good thing for anyone that would not get him in the news & a vote.

Ted may have a problem with alcohol, but when appearing in front of a microphone he appears to have a much greater command of the issues than George W Bush. Not to mention "W" has little command of the language which he proposes to make the "official" language of the US. W certainly has little command of a thinking apparatus and yet he was elected once and this was after he was installed by a coup. It is good to question the competence of our law makers, but I think it is important to start at the top and consider the on-th-job performance before recalling any of our politicians. Lets not forget George's struggle with drugs and alcohol.

The more important question is, why and how did W. get elected? Anyway, Kennedy is a Kennedy. He screwed up, but he is very effective, smart ( and yes dumb) and gets the job done.

The same reason Americans elected George W "got drunk and coked up and drove his car into a" Bush, I guess: because a person is not fairly defined by any single episode of their lives.

Thanks for the answers above me who bring up George W, because it successfuly illustrates the liberal way of thinking.
Lets simply change the subject and maybe everyone will forget we're talking about a drunk bum.

Because people hear the name "Kenedy," and think "ooooo" he must be good, I'll vote for him!! This is due mainly tot he fact that the people in Massachusetts are liberals, therefore are stupid.

He brings home the bacon and is the proud hometown son for his hopelessly Liberal constituency.
They know of no other lever (the one for Dems) in the voting booths of MA.

Perhaps because he fights and legislates for quality health care, environmental protections, economic security for all Americans, justice and equal rights, and educational opportunity.

Because the fat loser drunk hasn't had any competition. For some reason people have been reluctant to run against him, but hopefully this yr someone will.
