Hopefully it is not too late already for most of them. Have your natural hair color, or at least not streaked or dyed some unusual color, etc. Don't have any tattoos showing. The same goes for piercings except for one in each ear for girls--none in boys. Hey, I didn't make the rules, society has. All this sort of "stuff," if you happen to have any of it, demonstrates to the interviewer that you are "immature and probably can't be trusted to be honest on the job." Believe me, because I've been an interviewer many times for young college graduates looking for career jobs, and if they had any of the details mentioned above, they would just be written off. Of course, if the person with some of the above details is looking for a job as a mechanic, and is skilled in that field, that would be entirely different. As would it b e for a lot of other non-managerial positions--if you know what I mean. But if you want a career with maybe a million dollars more at the outcome, don't do much noticeable body modifications--especially ones that are openly visible to the public. You should get my point by now.
As for what they should wear, nobody will be over-dressed by wearing rather formal attire, we're not talking tux here, just suit and tie for guys and a nice dress or skirt for girls--but not so short that they appear to be enticing the interviewer like he was a Hollywood producer looking to hire a new actress. You know,

dress nice, but not formal. Look neat and presentable. Smile, show a good attitude, and a willingness to do what you're told. I'm a former manager of the year working with teens and I always said that anybody could do the job required; when you hire someone, you're hiring primarily attitude first, ability to learn second. Show these 2 traits in your interview and if you don't get hired, you were probably interviewed by a loser you wouldn't want to work for anyway. There are plenty of bad managers out there...you need to be looking for signs of that in your interview, don't be afraid to say no until you find what seems to be a good fit.

I've been in the retail business for 20+ years and have interviewed plenty of teenagers. I can tell you that as far as your clothing is concerned, the more professional you look, the better. Now don't get me wrong, you don't have to go out and buy a business suit or anything like that, but try to look as neat, clean and pressed as you possibly can.
However, I must say the thing that I look for more than anything is people's level of enthusiasm and committment. I recently interviewed a couple of guys who came dressed in droopy jeans and baseball jerseys, but once I started to talk with them is when I started to make my decision.
I often ask high school kids why they want a job. It may sound a little silly, but I then listen for two very important things: what they say and HOW they say it. For instance, the guy that I just mentioned told me that he has a single mom and a younger sibling and that he wanted to help his mother out with the finances and so he wouldn't be such a financial burden on her. He said this with a lot of conviction and seemingly, deep honesty.
The other guy I interviewed was just full of energy. No matter what we talked about, he was enthusiastic. "All I want to do is work hard and get ahead, in school and in my job".
***A warning: If you are asked, "why do you want to work here?"
DO NOT give an answer like "I like clothes", or "I love to shop" if its with a clothing store, for example. Rephrase it so it speaks about your strengths or interests--"I want to get into the fashion industry and I thought this might be a good start." or at least, "I like the product you sell and the atmosphere and feel I would fit in well."
Know yourself. Know your strengths AND your weaknesses. Be able to communicate that to a potential employer. Most places that higher teens only want two things--they want to know that they can depend on you to SHOW UP ON TIME and that your going to give your all while you're there.
Remember, this is an interview, you get to ask questions, too. Feel free to ask the person interviewing you how YOU will benefit from taking a job with them.

You should wear dressy, modest clothes that are not flashy or skimpy.
Don't chew gum. If you have extra peircings, take them out and forget about them for a while.
When you are there, be respectful. Don't act like you are the best.
You want to look and act mature. Most places are NOT going to hire you if you show up in normal clothes with blue hair and piercings everywhere, refer to the interviewer as a 'gurl' or 'boy' and badmouth your parents/teachers/former employers.

Dress job appropriate, depending on the position...dont wear revealing clothing..etc.Nice dress slacks, blouse..make sure you are clean and groomed to impress..take out piercings if you have them on other places besides ears. Unless you are applying to work in a tatoo parlor, skate shop or something..hide the tattoos..most first impressions are what employers go by..those things are a judgement call, it's better if they dont see them right away. Like my mom used to say "Go in there and show them the shiny side of your penny!" funny but it works.
( It shows you are concscientious person who wants the job)$$
Dont chew gum.
stay focused and make sure you look the interviewer in the eye and dont fidget..its natural to be nervous but try not to show it.
Answer all questions honestly and make sure they hear all the good qualities you have to offer the business, company etc.
After the interview, make sure you give him/her and give a firm handshake and thank them for their time.

the best thing to do is firstly have a resume clearly stating work experience and achievements. If you do not have any work experience talk yourself up explaining your qualities.
Wear corporate clothing or something smart. Never wear too much jewellery. Eg. Replace those hoops or big earings with studs.
Be confident, (but not overly) be happy and keep smiling. Employers love to see people with a happy, down to earth good natured disposition.

They should wear casual clothes.They're teens looking for jobs,it's not like they're interviewing to get into college or anything.Just be prepared to answer some questions.Don't look tacky though!

They need to work on useing language that makes them sound mature. Wear something nice no baggy pants hanging to their knees, tuck their shirts in, button up their shirts.
