well, they are only 1.5 games back in the wild card and only 3.5 back of st.louis in the central and now a game over .500, and ben sheets and tomo ohka should be coming back in the coming weeks of the disabled list, which their problem has been the pitching, which with them coming back will help alot! I think trading him would be a big mistake because the brewers haven't been to the playoffs in like 24 years and brewers fans want to got the playoffs now, and trading him would mean our season is over.

the brewers have been saying "build for the future" for like the past 10 yrs. why don't they start signing some veterans now?

i think trading him would be a big mistake. he is just hitting the prime of his career and is a big fan favorite. he is the heart of our lineup, you take him out and there is big gaping hole in that lineup. the brewers have done an excellent job building for the future and i think lee is part of that future. the only way i see them moving him is if they get a legit starting pitcher, not minor leaguers. they have got an excellent farm system and just need some more time for these guys to jell. i could see them moving jenkins and i think that koskie is only holding down 3rd base till their no.1 pick from last year is ready.

NO! even if the rest of the season is a bust, they are so close to being good, and he is the keystone of the lineup. They have great pitching, and if they can get another bat and better fielding in the middle infield, they will be an elite NL team.

no, carlos lee has helped lift a last place team off the ground. the brewers needed someone like Lee, and he has worked wonders for their offense. if they can keep Lee, fielder, and hall together, they're going to have a killer batting order. carlos lee is liked by a lot of people, and trading him would be a big mistake.

sign some players, like who? Nobody wants to play for the brewers they suck, that's why Paul molitor left for the blue jay's,he knew what the rest of the league knows and bud Selig needed another job because they suck so bad.they weren't even good enough to play in the AL.

I bet Lee will stay but Ohka or Jenkins will have different locker rooms by the end of July.

Yes they are not strong enough to really get anywhere and they need to get ready for the future. as good as carlos lee is. He is not the future. He is old enough to be close to a bad injury and young enough to be attractive to other teams.

They should keep him unless they get a lot in return for him, both a star and some highly ranked minor leaguers.
