I had a tubal ligation 8 years ago. They used the clips. We have 4 boys and we want to try to have a little girl. Is it possible to still have a child naturally without having to do In Vitro or anything like that? I want to have the clips removed and I am just wondering what the chances are of having another child.

I am going to do the reversal of the tubal. I found a doctor that does them and checked him out thoroughly. I have not had any health problems. Very good shape physically.

Your chances are likely very high for reverse ligation. If I were you I would seek many ob/ gyns to find the one with the most experience. I know y'all can do it... and don't forget to add a little lemon for acidity, more female children are born to women with higher levels of vaginal acidity. Best wishes

scar tissue... i'm sure you've heard about that. even with the clips there are still issues that need attention. i have read about tubal reversals being very effective, however! the cost of the reversal would be less than one cycle of IVF. on the down side, it could take a while to get pregnant... but if you don't have any health issues that cause you to rush, i'd do the reversal. AND, i know you didn't ask BUT, i had 3 boys and then decided after i found out about a book called "how to choose the sex of your baby" written by Dr. Shuttles, that i would do everything the book suggested in order to increase my odds of having a girl. I GOT MY GIRL! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!

You might have a problem since the clips have been on for so long. But as long as the tubes aren't totally damaged I don't see why you can't have another child if you have them removed! Good Luck!

When you have your tubes tied it is the doctors job to mess up that canal as much as possible. It might take some hard work
