I love the smell of the salt water. I love the seagulls squawking, digging for clams, the driftwood washing up on the shore, and the sound of the gentle waves. I love the feeling of sand and rocks underneath my bare feet. I love listening to the foghorns early in the morning, helping ships find their way around each other, to the docks. I love the tide and the exciting new discoveries it leaves every day. I love late-night grilling parties, sand castles, and searching for beautiful pieces of glass that has been polished by the sand and the sea. I love seashells and driftwood. I love watching people fishing from the piers. I love wading in the water with my jeans rolled up and shrieking with joy as I run from the crashing waves. I love putting on sunscreen in the summer and spending my entire day at the beach, and I love going home happy and tired and, if I'm lucky enough, falling asleep hearing the waves of the incoming tide.

It's the way grown-ups transform back to children. You can tell alot about people by the bathing suit they wear, by the way they splash around before diving in, by how sun burnt they are. And of course, the most compelling reason why I love the beach: when I am hungry, I can always eat the sandwiches there. Get it? Sand which is there! Thank you!

I hate the beach, there's sun that's bright and gets you burned, there's sand that's gritty, and gets you dirty, and gets everywhere, there's water that's cold, has creatures in it, and has salt, there are a lot of people, who talk, and breath, and act frivolously. The thing I love about the beach is leaving!

Fresh air, play with my kids in the sand, a bath in the sea water( I'm from the Caribbean and water temperature is "warm" all year) snorkeling and of course to get a tan.

i love the beach my dad used to take me to the beach alot as a kid thats where he taught me surf(redondo beach), i just love the whole scenery

When i was a kid, i just love to swim and gather edible mullosk or shellfish. Now that I'm grown up, I just love to gather shellfish - and am very good at it.
