I am now a Yahoo Answers addict, but I think this is a good thing. I get to defend issues that I care about, but I try to do so without insulting or name calling. Even if the question is "Why are all whites racist?" I will not call the person stupid etc. Yahoo Answers can teach someone to think before giving a response. I try to be a little bit nicer, but it depends on the tone of the question. If I think the person asking the question really needs help, I generally will go out of my way to be nice.

Yahoo Answers has helped me fill in all the hours in the day that were otherwise wasted on unimportant things. All I did was work, take care of my family, go to the gym, and work on my hobbies. Yahoo Answers has changed all that, and I'm a better person for it! Now I communicate with all the philosophers and high-minded folk in the universe!

It has made me realize that I have entirely to much time on my hands. It has not made more tolerant. It has made me see that there are a lot of sick people out there. Also that that the educational system has certainly failed a lot of people. How sad that so many people can't spell or make a complete sentence.

I wouldn't say it "influenced" me in any way, but it let me know what's really going on in the minds of some people.....and it hasn't been a very pleasant observation.
