Hello! HPV maybe? STD's? Do you have sex with men? There is the number one reason. You are in the prime of your life to get all kinds of infections, and waiting more than 1 yr inbetween puts you at great risk to develop something that could have been treated had you gone to your annual pap. If you want to have kids someday, its a good idea to do this because then you will be sure that your pregnancy is safe. Good luck kid.

God yes it's horrible!
I didn't go forever cause I am healthy or thought I was. Then I got sick and went in and was diagnosed with diabetes. I should have been taking care of this years ago. I have more energy then I've had in years now that I have the proper treatment. Your health is a major deal and your body isn't replaceable so be nicer to it.
:o)

I'm sorry hun, I know how aweful those horrible things are, in fact I just had mine today...ick. But you really should get checked yearly, especially if your planning on having kids some day. Cervical cancer can strike at any age, fortunately it's quite treatable if detected early, and the only way to detect it before it's too late are the dreaded pap smears.

You should have a physical every year. That way, you'll know if something isn't right, and can take care of it right away, rather than too late.
If you're in your early twenties, that means you haven't had a physical since you were a kid. I'd go.

Well, I am just as bad I used to only go to the doctor when I was pregnant or eight years between each exam until I started getting older. You appreciate having all that crap done when you get older and start falling apart. I used to ask for the doctor to see me who wouldn't raise cane about me not having regular visits.

ehh, well the way I look at it, if you're feeling fine then there is no need to see a doctor. Just eat right and do the right thing, make sure you dont ignore any sign of illness though, if you feel ill, see a Doctor as soon as possible to get the best possible treatment.

if you feel healthy, then that's all the reason not to go see a doc.

It might be bad. You might have some big tumour growing internally and you can't feel it yet, and by the time you do you'll have end-stage cancer and three days to live, but hey, you never know. ;)
