Of course not! go for it, but remember that your "exceptionally high" skills might still not be enough to get a publisher's attention. You still need character development, plot and climax and resolution to your story. Take some story writing classes at your local community education center and learn more about story development.
And remember, even the best authors have been rejected MULTIPLE times by publishers before they got publishes. YOu can also pay to have the book printed yourself, if you just want to see the pages in print. it's a great way to kick off a career that can last you a lifetime.

There is one good author, who wrote her first book "In the Forests of the Night" at 13. And it was published.
If you have such high grammar and english skills, why not go ahead and try it. Anything is possible.
I mean look at Paris Hilton, she has her song on the radio and she can't even sing a lick in tune.
I'm sure you have more intelligence than her so, of course you could try. Why not?

No. Ever heard of Amelia Atwater Rhodes, Flavia Bujor and Christopher Paolini? They were all published before they turned 18. (And, cough cough, they're my idols!) I'm 13 as well and I dream of getting a book published, whether I'm 15 or 50 when it happens. Age doesn't matter. As long as your writing is good, you have a shot at it.

No way! Go for it! There was a girl I saw on the news who got so tired of waiting for the new Harry Potter book that she wrote her own. With the assistance of the new online publishing places, she published her book in hardback, with cover art that she did herself and everything! It's awesome that you are aware of your skills and talents at such an early age - you should write like crazy. Your passions for writing will show in your work, and you are bound to gain recognition for your hard work and enthusiasm. Let us know when we can buy one of your books!

Not at all! If you can write one, you have the same chance of getting published as anyone else. Just be very careful about choosing a good, reliable agent, publisher, etc.

It isn't too young to try. Most authors try for years before they get published, but who knows, maybe you will be considered a prodigy. Even if you don't get published, you will learn so much from the effort, and experience is the most valuable teacher.

No, you are not. First you have to write, write and write. When you get it right,( I love to have fun with words), maybe you could get published on your school paper or a youth oriented magazine. You also should read. There are so many wonderful authors. (Not J.K Rowling, , PLEASE)Talk to your teacher and your parents to see how they can help you. Then, who knows... Maybe in 15 or 20 yrs you will be awarded the Pulitzer.

It's harder to get taken seriously at a young age, but that's not to say it can't be done! S.E. Hinton was only 16 when she wrote her first novel, the acclaimed The Outsiders. Even if you can't get published, keep writing. You never know what might happen!

No, you are not to young to wirte or publish a book. I know of a child of nine and he has published I believe two books. His first book is "Heart Songs". You should read it. I believe you can do anything that you put your mind to. I look forward to your work.
