First, make sure you cleanse your face well. Cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, get it for your appropriate skin type. (An artist never paints with a dirty canvas). Then apply a foundation, which foundation to choose depends on how much coverage you want, if you just want to even out or want a not too heavy look, opt for a sheer foundation. Apply with your fingers, I usually start with a pea size;I apply to the cheeks first, then the forehead, nose and chin. (Just my preference) Once this is done, apply any concealor you may need and dust with loose powder and a big brush. Loose is best for setting, you can touch up with pressed powder during the day Eye shadow, buy a base that will make it last longer, or I use foundation. Put a neutral color on the lids; in your case with brown eyes pinks/rose tones will look great. Put a darker color in the crease and if I want a really made up look I apply eyeliner close to the lashes. For just everyday, I stick to eyeshadow and mascara. Apply the mascara from base to the end of the lash, you need only one coat or you get the clumpy messy lashes. Then I get a big brush and suck in my cheeks, I apply blush to the part that's tucked in. Use it sparingly, you don't want to look like a clown. For lips, I like to line my lips with a color very close or lighter than the lipstick, outline your lips, then fill in with liner. This makes your lipstick last longer, then take a brush and apply lipstick for your first application. The rest of the day I apply it directly from the tube. For a quick makeup application, I powder my face, put one color of eyeshadow on lid, apply mascara, lightly apply blush and use lipstick without lining. This will get me to the store and back or last me through church.

i think that dark colors will look good on anyone. dont try the blue and pink and really colorful stuff. it'll look like a vegas thing going on. stick to warm colors thats blends easily to the skin. well start off with the eyeshadow brush, rub it on the eyeshadow, but not so much. then just draw it within your eyelids. unless you like the look where it goes all the way to your eyebrows.

get in touch with a Mary Kay consultant in your area they teach you and show you different ways. If you like it soft go with light colours, for the day. In the evening go a little stronger with darker colours. Your makeup should always be the colour in your inner arm. So when you turn your arm around the lighter colour this is what your make up should be for your face, it always will look nice then and not ugly.

Get which ever color that works good on you not to dark or not to light.
Make sure you are standing in front of a mirror and slowly take the thing and put it on Ur eye, carefully don't over do it.
Good Luck!

I am a makeup expert and I follow one general rule that my mother told me when I was 12. The secret to wearing makeup is to make it look like you are not wearing any at all!******* Follow this rule before applying night time makeup. Night time makeups are just accents to your everyday! Not clown wear!
With this in mind the first trick is to even out skin tone. Even if you don’t have blemishes I recommend foundations. If your skin is blemish free you should stick with a light foundation. Starting out don't be afraid to use brands at your drug store. No need for macy's yet. And honestly, my favorites are a big mix of drug store brands and the more $$ ones. Cover girl has a nice light foundation. If you have blemishes Revlon has a brand called color stay. Its oil free and works great to even out skin. Even badly scared or blemished skin. Before you apply, to clean skin, take a wash cloth and gentaly exfoliate dry skin. Then apply lightly some lotion, smoothing evenly. I recommend using your fingers but feel free to use a sponge to apply foundation, not neglecting the entire face. (IN SUNLIGHT YOU CAN TELL WHERE FONDATION STOPS AND YOU START) I apply some to the area below my eye brow and fill in down to my eyelid. This helps even skin and helps eye shadow mix well and look even. Powder finish is optional, BUT keeps it light girls!!! or you'll mess up your natural look. Next some color.
Keep in mind color is natural. pinks, creams, tans.
Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks only. pucker and dap taking care not to apply to much.....
Eyeshadow. START with a color very similar to your skin color, even lighter if possible. Cover the entire eye lid to the brow. Next take a pink or tanish shade and from the crease of your lid upward to the brow, apply gent ally mixing with the base. I suggest having base color on one side of applicator and your accent shade on other to make shading easier. If you have enough base color you should be able to shade easily. Eyeliner---I don’t use it. But if you want to try, lighter the better girls. And liquid liner when out and even when it was popular was hideous. NOT NATURAL!
Next mascara. I suggest maybelline full and soft. Apply carefully, and use a compact to look in instead of bathroom mirror. The up-close look will help you apply. Wipe the wand on the side of something to avoid too much mascara on applicator. Clumps are bad!!!!
Next lips. Lip liner when way out in the 90s and plain old lipstick was 2 decades ago in the 80's.
Gloss. They have great colors and make your lips look full. Pick a color that matches your skin nicely but is still natural looking. Every make up brand makes them and they are fab! Avoid clown colors. Avoid applying to much.
For night time, a touch darker blush, and a touch darker gloss. Eyes-- that’s the secret to looking good. AND shading is the secret. I suggest checking out http://www.maccosmetics.com and click on the "Looks" section. start these looks with a simple base shadow close to your skin color or lighter. Without it shading with the applicator will not be possible. And play around try some of the looks on Mac’s website and have fun!
****and remember, the secret to good skin is drinking water and washing off that makeup at night girls! Scrubs will also keep that skin glowing and fresh!
Hope this helps.

1. You and your friends, get together and have a makeup party.
2. For your complexion and skin, go for roses/greens/blues. If you wanna go subtle, try natural tones.
3. And if ya wanna go crazy, splurge on color!!!
