Your most immediate worry is to save your life. When they tell you what treatments you can have, ask the question about having a baby in the future. That may make a difference in which treatment you get.
Take a look at this article and ask your doctor about it:

It depends on how far the cancerous cells have spread. They won't know FULLY, until they go inside and see how much damage has been done.

If your doctor discovered it early enough and it hasn't spread too far, then you should have no problems, conceiving.

This will be a wait and see situation.

I'm sorry, to here that but don't worry just yet.

I know this is going to sound a little funny but it's true. If the malignant area is SMALL and they only have to remove the tisse of the cancerous cells and a small surrounding area, It could actually INCREASE the chances of your getting pregnant by simple virtue of your having a wider cervix.

It happens all the time.

after doing a little reading on the subject, it appears , depending on the stage and treatment procedure, you may still have children, cervical cancer is very treatable and depending on the stage determines the treatment. and your doctor only said you may, that's not a result, that's a guess. I believe I would get a second opinion, any doctor that would scare someone with a "may" in my opinion shouldn't be a doctor. something that serious deserves a battery of test that determines the results before it is even mentioned.

Cervical cancer, especially in its later stages, can result in infertility if the uterus must be removed. However, surgical advancements in recent years mean that some cases can be treated with the removal of the cervix alone, salvaging the woman's ability to become pregnant. Hope it turns out to be nothing.

Well did she do a PAP smear? If she didn't, I don't see why she would tell you that. But if you do, they can scrape the cancer cells off and ask if you want to have a baby, if not, and if the cancer is in a later stage, they made have give you a hysterectomy.

I wish you luck and I hope you do not have it.

=)

My girl friend had cervical cancer we lost our child by miscarriage and that's when she found out she had cancer. She will never be abe to have children. She had to have her Uterus taken out.
My Moral to you is that you best not play around with something like that and get treatment and maker sure early before its too late.

That would depend on the treatment you recieve. If you have a total hysterectomy your uterus is removed. You may have a better chance with a partial. Good luck

If you have several biopsies done on your cervix it will shorten it and that would prevent you from being able to carry a pregnancy. I would ask the doctor!!
BTW, I'm sorry to hear that...I will pray for you.
