I'd rather stay at home

I am a working mom. If given the choice, I'd rather stay at home and take care of my family while doing some home-based job.

I think now that I am disabled and unable to work that I would rather work. You are more in tune with the world when working and self confidence comes from a lot of experiences you don't get at home.I believe it is good to be a stay at home Mom when children are growing up for a few years but I'd rather be working.

I have done both and am currently staying at home, though my son is now 8. I would rather work a part-time job, maybe 3 or 4 hours a day, then be home for the remainder of the day with my child.

I am a stay-at-home to a two year little boy and would not change it for the world. My feeling is if you can stay at home why would you want to go to work and leave them. I want my children to have my believes and not a day care provider. For the people that say it would drive them crazy to be at home with there kids that can be true. Then why did you have them for someone else to raise. Don't you want them to have the special memoirs of being home with there mom then being drag to day care everyday. I worked in a day care center before I was married and had a child. After that I promised myself I would never put my kids in daycare. I am lucky my husband job provides the change for me to stay at home. We live a great life on one income and I would never think about getting a job now. I work just as hard at being a homemaker and mom , then I think I would at a 9 to 5 job. Mostly it is beause, I put my heart into to what I do for my family and at the end of the day I hope all I do makes my family realize how special they are to me.

WELL FOR ONE STAY AT HOME MOM IS A LOT MORE WORK THAN A JOB EVER THOUGHT ABOUT BEING.

I would and am a stay at home mom by choice. I love it, i have my kids around me all the time they are my life and would not want it any other way. It gives you a chance to spend more time with your kids with out interferring with the social life of the kids. You can see problems before they get out of control. You see a lot more than a mom that works even part time. I feel like i am a lot closer to my kid then i ever would have been just seeing them after work.

A stay at home mom of course. My kid needs me. Especially these days now more than ever! My home needs me, my sig. other (theoretically speaking) would need me. I've seen the working mothers homes, there children and their husbands...lets be real it is only efficient 1/2 of the time. Unfortunately income barriers do not always allow for this and the women have to work. I mean, if ya have no choice...ya have no choice. I think that if income allows...mom should stay home.

I would rather work. I had the opportunity to stay w/my child until age 3. I missed working and knew I wanted to do more with my life. Being a stay at home mom is great, if you really want to do it.

I would rather be a stay at home mom. I do work, full time, and I'm a single parent. I would definitely pick being a stay at home mom. I had to put my daughter in daycare at 6 weeks old. That was hard. I would prefer to home-school but I can't afford to do so being that we are a one parent household. So, I work.

I would like to stay at home with my children until they reached about 7th or 8th grade. After they started all-ay school, I'd want to work part-time while they are at school, or volunteer some place. I don't think I could be a stay-at-home mom all the time. It's a huge sacrifice and it would drive me crazy, but during those formative years, and the time they can;t look after themselves safely, I'd like to be home for them. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice. I have to work.

I think that i would rather work. I mean i love kids to death and when i decide to have them i am sure that i am gonna wanna spend a lot of time with them. But there are those times when u need a break from them and that is where work fits in great cause not only are you out there getting the money for the stuff that they need but you are also getting away from them and from the stress for a little while and taking the stress out on something productive.
