A lunar eclipse is when the Earth blocks the light from the moon so the moon appears to disappear.
A solar eclipse is when the moon blocks the Sun's light from the Earth so the Sun seems to disappear.
Solar and lunar eclipses occur very often. The last lunar eclipse was a few years ago. The last solor eclipse was also a few years ago. I am not sure about the next lunar eclipse but the next solar eclipse is in 20 years. There is no exact amount of time before and after every solar and lunar eclipse.

a lunar eclipse is when the earth passes between the Sun and the moon, the moon will then be cast into total darkness or partial darkness, dependiing on how lined up they are.
a solar eclipse is when the moon passes between the earth and the sun, casting a shadow on the earth.
solar eclipses often happen over in China and in the ocean.
The last lunar eclipse I SAW was in 2000
