oh I see, I spend all my time at home with the kids so I guess I have lost touch with some of the newer terminology of things

emo isn't a person. it's kinda like a way to define someone (punk, nerd, popular, goth, prep, jock etc.) emo people are the ones who are known to be VERY emotional (EMOtional). they are also known to be addicted to drugs and alcohol, only bcause of there emotional probelms. however, that is not always the case.

all "emo" means is emotional, it's short for it.
they are people who usually have problems, and can't really "handle them".
they are a lot like gothic people.
