I saw darts on television after a poker tournament and was absolutely mesmerized for around the next 85 seconds straight. All the throwers were missing was the beer in the other hand.

I saw the Las Vegas Classic televised on FoxSS today. You can really only appreciate how difficult what these guys were doing by having played yourself. Phil Taylor averaged around 110 points per throw. Several 180s were thrown. I participated in dart leagues for around 10 years and during this time only achieved throwing a 180 twice. Even the better players had point averages less than 60. I for one hope they continue to televise the tournaments.

darts is a fun sport, and the alcohol doesn't hurt its image in my eyes either. (unless the dart comes back at my eye). I've taken one in the back for the cause and that was ducking from one heading for my head.
Seeing some of those guys on FoxSportsnet from England are impressive at times and funny at others. I've seen a guy go from getting 180 to getting 3 in one turn and he was aiming at the same thing both times
