It depends on your cycle. The best way to tell if you are ovulating is to take your temperature everyday before getting out of bed and at the same time. When you see a dip in your temp, you are getting ready for ovulation. In an ideal environment, sperm can survive for up to six days. I would recommend coitus every other day a week prior to your suspected ovulation. Also, check cervial mucous. If your discharge looks like raw egg whites, it is time to get busy! Good luck and happy baby making.

Hello, I was told if you are regular and you ovulate on your 14 or15th day of your cycle, you should have intercourse from day 10 to 19. So, a few days before as it is ideal to have the sperm ready for the egg and a few days after as the egg can survive 24 hours.

Good luck!

~Odd numbered Tuesdays, even numbered Sundays, and every Friday that falls on a New or Full moon.
Third Wednesdays are ok, but only at lunch time.
Absolutely never on Saturday.
Whichever you select, make sure it coincides with his testosterone cycle. If he is not on an upswing or peak, you are out of luck.

I would get an ovulation kit in your local drug store. Your best bet is to conceive when you are ovulating. Good luck!

My best suggestion is to take the Natural Planning course offered at many churches. You don't have to be catholic to join the class. They teach you everything about the woman's body including temp. and mucus. It also gives you a chance to understand how your body works. I learned a lot.
