Ok bozo, do you realize the sales of these equipment and the projects actually cost money? And the companies that sold these equipment to Iraq and that are doing the "rebuilding" are mostly American companies? Did you also know that the money that is being spent is American tax payers' money? And do you realize that the tax payers' money is going to these defense and rebuilding companies which have ties to the administration? So lastly has it dawned upon you that you are paying taxes to "rebuild" Iraq and your money is going indirectly in a roundabout way to the people in the administration?
I mean how stupid are you really? You elect a set of people to power. They start a war, and use the US treasury to fund it: 1) the defense companies get business 2) the "rebuilding" companies get business. Now these same people that you elected to power also head those defense companies and "rebuilding" companies. So who gets paid? And with whose money?
If you want to give your money to Bushco, just write a check to them, period. I would rather see my money go to help some poor single mom to help her go to school and earn an education so that she can fend for herself.

Apparently you are watching biased news or you believe everything the government tells you. I'm not denying all of those "facts" you listed, but realize the government often hides the negative and showcases the positive, even if there are more negative aspects of whatever subject is discussed. And why exactly would American media outlets want to "undermine the world's perception of the United States"? And if all of the Iraqi troops are fully trained, why isn't there a more noticeable transition from American troops to Iraqi troops? Just some food for thought. The media is far from perfect, as is the American government.

Did you know that the Taliban of Afghanistan were made by America?
Did you know that Saddam Hussein was a reliable friend of America until he lost the war against Iran?
Did you know, that the administration of Saddam Hussein was always a guarantor that there will never be a Taliban-type state in Iraq?
Do you know, that as soon as the American forces move out of Iraq, that state may soon become an other islamic state run by ayatollas like or even from Iran?
Is one Iran not yet too much? Do we really have to create one more?
Did you know that ten years from now American troops may have to move into Iraq again and fight an other Taliban regime?
Did you know that it is time to stop dreaming?

Thank you for helping educate America. The sooner we learn to ignore the "lame-stream" media, the better. America is coming around, as network news audiences and newspaper readership are both dropping fast.
But as long as the morons who run those establishments are allowed to do so, we will be spoon-fed the Michael Meyers/ George Soros version of the truth.
It's weird. It's like in Communist Russia where the media was state-owned and would only report the government's version of the truth. Only here, it's not the government, but the wacko socialists who are running the media (and academia!).

I hear you, I have seen a lot of improvement in Iraq when I was there. The sad fact is, new shools, facilities, and an improved quality of life for average Iraqis just doesn't sell. Bombings, shootings, and turmoil do. Until that changes, you will never be able to count on the news for accurate reporting on Iraq.

then let's leave... sounds like they are more able than most to secure their own nation... if what you say is true...
but... I do warn you to watch where you get your facts... there are many shades to the "truth"... much like you probably don't remember when Rumsfeld said that there were like 150,000 troops that were trained and ready to fight... then a week later a major general testified before congress that only one division was ready to fight and trained?
sounds like two people from the same government have very different versions of "trained and capable"...
oh... and I have seen some of those things on the news... but not of Fox News... odd? But to be fair... I don't watch Fox news a lot... some, but not a lot...
why do people who don't watch the "liberal media" complain so much... even though they don't know what's on it?

sir, we don't know all of this because the main stream media is a bunch of sniveling liberals that when they are not ranting about the freaking environment, fighting for homosexuals, and killing babies, they are trying to hide all of the good things that do go on in Iraq. they want President Bush to appear as a failure....and nothing more. President Bush is doing a fine job. I don't think a lot of people could do better.

Sad isnt it, that the truth would be covered to promote the intrests of the ultra librel, even more dissapointing is that the bulk of americans rely on this balanced media to deliver thier facts.
Thanks for doing a little reasearch on your own!
