Do they like it and where is their location?

Here is the thing with UPS.

If you work hard, they will keep you on. If you goof off, you are DONE. So if you intend to work, then do it. While you are getting paid to work, they expect you too.

In general, they are not a welfare agency. They love hard workers, even though they might not tell you when you've been good. Just having the job still should be enough to keep you going.

You really have to admire their team spirit. Many people that work there really love it. People that quit, didn't care for it.

If you expect to be a DRIVER, then be ready to work even harder. One piece of advice, however, don't get a ticket or accident. That will pretty much end it for you.

I know and have known quite a few... All have to start as part time employees in their shipping and receiving departments and must work their way up to being a driver. Normally takes about a year and a half to become a full-time driver. Pay and benefits are fairly good, and all have enjoyed the job - no bosses really hanging all over you as long as your routes are tended to. The only downfall is the process of getting that far, not everyone is patient enough to wait and work through the shipping part!

Yes two people, They have been there for years and years. They like it OK, they say "it's a Job" But their Benefits are excellent. If you are hired in as Union, the pay is better and so are the benefits but you get physical jobs. They also pay for some college classes. They work in Louisville, KY at the main hub.

I know two people that work for DHL and they said they would never work for UPS. Reason being because UPS work to hard and they are always rushing because they aren't given enough time to deliver packages. Its in Rhode Island. Fedex they say is even harder.

I know a million UPS drivers. They all come in to the bar I work at in their uniforms and get trashed. It's pretty funny, because then I see them making deliveries at the mall, and they act all embarrassed.

Yes. A good friend works for them in the Sacramento, CA area. I think satisfaction depends on what you are doing for them (or any other employer for that matter).
