Christopher Reeves is the best and here's the reason why:
Most people love Christopher Reeves version of Superman because of his humor and his emotions during all of the Superman films. The first Superman movie was Christopher Reeves big break in the silver screen and I and many others will miss both him and his wife (RIP).
The answer to your question is either most of the actors were unknown and/or they had unusual accidents (deaths). For example George Reeves and Christopher Reeves. I hope this helps you out and please give me my ten points if I'm correct.
