Basically is because of the enviornment that different people is living and the experiences gained through life. There is no 2 people share exactly same experiences, just like there is no 2 eggs which are exactly same in shapes; Maybe similar though.
That's why there is the so-called "Childish" & "Mature". Which catagory u belong to?

this is a wonderful question... im going to refer you to a book its called Blood done sign my name... the book is about racism... practically nothing to do with thinking... or not?
At a commencement ceremony for my school, preceding a debate on this book the author, Tyson, said that we often must go stumbling forward even knowing that we will make a mistake.
It is the essence of learning... stumbling forward.
It is best seen in gambling or superstition for example. A gambler uses his intuitive knowledge of winning a complete chance game by say stroking a lucky rabits foot.
Completely irrational thinking leads to new cognitive experiences... sadly i have experienced this with valedictorians... and i think there is a book out there about how geniuses have completely irrational ideas too...
*shrug*
Going back to the book... what i gleaned about racism from that book is that it models the "stumbling" forward of people experimenting with different ideas. Its growing pains, and God is it painful.
So I am not so sure that people actually have different levels of thinking, but rather they have different preconceived notions about what is real and what is not. Just a subtle little twist an internal definition of what clean is... and they turn into a clean freak... neurotic people dont limit themselves.
So if you are indeed looking for a way of understanding at new levels... Go back to the basics (like einstein did) and learn vocabulary at deeper levels. Statistically, the geniuses just have more vocabulary words than the average dude/dudet.
This is all presupposing that you are not referring to the different ways males and females think... or different approaches to life... cuz well thats a totally different ball game.
Goodluck,
~M

EVOLUTION. But not in the darwinian random mutation way. I'm talking about a human consciousness evolution that is the next step in the Universal Evolution calld Life. Matter to Body to Mind to Soul to Spirit. Since the Big Bang the Universe is evolving its expression of itself into more and more complex yet unifying manifestations.Currently, at least in this part of the Universe, humans are the pinnacle of that manifestation. We have been evolving through different levels of mind for the last 100000 years about to reach a crescendo that could be a cul de sac or the next paradigm.

There are two ways of taking this question.
For the purposes of this question , take our thinking as being like as computer processing information - yes I know human thinking is more than that for instance in relation to our feelings and conscious experience.
Two things about computers. Firstly, the way they process information is hierarchical - there are things like the operating systems and programme software underlying the information you put into the computer and get out of it. Similarly with people, we need a lot of low level, unconscious, thinking to support the big thoughts we are aware of.
Secondly, some computers happen to be bigger than others. Similarly, some people are more intelligent than others and are able to have more complex thoughts.

like everything else, it comes from our genes. some people think in terms of what theyve read, some from their experiences, some from both. some people's brain cells die of at a different rate, some people have physical problems, some chemical problems, some have learning difficulties, some get bored easily. age, experience, education and how we were brought up.
whatever, we are pretty diverse which is good, why would you want everyone to be the same, we would be robots, replicas of each other.

Because we live in different cultures/worlds, we have different environments, different beliefs. Human beings develop their level of thinking based on experiences and to their environment. This is where a person would assess the way he or she would think.

We're all capable of thinking on the same level, it's just that we have been brainwashed to think that we r individual, seperate minds, but we all spawn from one.
This world is a living, breathing spirit in which we all, in one way or another, r connected.

because of the enviroment, family, and understanding of life it self. We all have different levels of understanding wich is not a bad thing. That is how we learn from one another, or as I like to say feed one another with a piece of eachothers minds, views etc.

Because simply we just HAVE to be different!
God has created each individual in this society with different interests and different likes 'N dislikes, in order for people to act and interact with each and for people to have DIFFERENT TASTES. If you liked what I like and I liked what you like, it would've been too boring! And non sense.
But God has created this form of life in order to include a variety of intellectual thinking and interests among everything around us :)
