The system is fairly effective on mild to moderate acne, if you use it religiously (at least once a day!) and if you are not sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. One of my sons could not use it because it made his skin break out in a rash. Fortunately, his acne cleared up on its own. My three other kids have had good results with this product, but they have to keep using it to get the results. Proactiv is gentler than many acne products. The lotion is only 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, yet it seems to do the job. For really bad acne, I would go to a dermatologist and get a prescription medicine. I don't think Proactiv or any over the counter medicine would be adequate.

It has worked very well for me. I had to experiment a bit with the system... which cream I use and how much, but generally I find it to be very effective. I will say that other people on this site have reported mixed reviews: for some it works and for some it doesn't. It's worth trying for 30 days....

It can work very well... but i think plain old Epsom Salts work GREAT.... i had bad skin and it totally cleared it up, plus it's super cheap...! Either mix them with a very mild cleanser (Aveeno or Cetaphil) or wash your face then rub some on your problem areas ;)

I've heard from numerous people that it does, but I also heard from one of those people that it eventually stopped working. If you are thinking about trying it, try the competitor at your local grocery or drug store called Acne Free. It's cost is more reasonable and you see results fast....

well it worked really great for my mom, who still has really bad acne, so I thought I'd give it a try. It started out really great, my skin cleared up and felt great, but then my acne started to come back little by little, and now it doesnt work for me at all. i dont know what to tell you, my mom swears by it, yet it does nothing for my skin.
just try it and see if it works for you

Everyone's skin type is different-for me-it didn't work at all! For other's it does. I suppose you'll have to take the chance and order and see if it works for you!

IT SURE DOES. Bought some for my daughter. She has really bad acne and it cleared it up in two weeks. She is still using it and her face is clear as a bell.

We don't think so (Wife and I are 32 and 39 years old). On adult skin - it is about as effective as Clearasil.
