As in every situation, better for some people, worse for others.

May be not for the Jews and for the Armenians....see during the WW! where armenians were deported ,...and many of which died from starvation....despite the ww1, the empire wouldn'y hav last long...it had grown too big...and would have fallen like the Roman empire
