She worked at a bank and they need a car loan. He suggested they go to the bank where she worked and she said they could go see "Brian" (name has been changed) because he used to like her. Her husband got all pouty and took off for the evening. Should she have shared this kind of thing with her best friend, her husband, or whould she be wise to keep this kind of stuff to herself? Does the answer depend on what kind of guy her husband is?

She should have not said anything I think she slipped by saying that... If she hadn't mentioned it before I know she didn't really want him to know

I think that sort of information should be in the "don't ask, don't tell" category. Even if her mate had been emotionally secure enough to take it in good humor, it might be something Brian would rather keep private. I've always fended off requests for that sort of information by saying "a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell", and I'm sure it's made my life (and probably several others) easier.

If her husband is the jealousy kind which most of them are then yes she shouldn't of said, "he used to like me." Sometimes not always telling the truth is always better in the long run.

I don't see why she would feel the need to tell him that, but even if she did, is he that insecure that he would get that upset?! Time to grow up!
