Perhaps not the hell bent capitalist conservative republicans, but the heaven seeking ones do. The report on ABC news tonight about the increase in wild fires did not take into account the issue of overgrowth in national forests that has not been allowed to be burnt off due to environmental policies. This is just one example of how restrictive environmental policies HURT the environment. Responsible forestry management that allowed for a prescribed amount of logging and replanting of trees would acutally preserve our national forests and parks longer than our current environmental policies. So, capitalism would actually help in this case.

Fact is, conservatives believe in the responsible stewardship of our natural resources. That includes using them. But we do not worship Gaia mother Earth. Nor do we fall for every crackpot enviro-scare that comes along.
Not sure where you get the mistaken idea that we don't care about Earth, but we do. We just don't do the 'sky is falling' routine like 'Ice Tea Tinkle' Al Dork.
