No, it's not funny. It's a serious problem. It means you're a pathetic redneck who has no taste in good music, that's all...

Oh, there's nothing wrong with Country. It's definitely not the kind of music i call my favorite, but I do listen to it now and again. The people that laugh at you probably never actually listened to a country song so they just ASSUME it only appeals to the "ignorant". But they're being ignorant for judging you just for that!

I wouldn't laugh at you! I listen to it, too. It might depend on part of the country you're from. I'm from Nashville so it's pretty common here, but if you live somewhere like LA or New York or something where it's not the norm, they might look at you funny. I don't know why. What's the big deal? It's just another genre of music.

Stereotypes is the answer. Upon listening to united states music many people connect this music to a collection of rednecks and hillbillies and that is because of television and action pictures. Dont complication guy, united states is sweet music, and that is coming from a die-problematic metallic fan. save listening to your united states and perchance those those who're guffawing will comprehend how tremendous a range that's.

I love all music. When they start to laugh, ask them what kind of music do they like, then say does your type music have its own channel? CMT is the only music channel that specifically only play country music. Mtv plays rap, rock, bet plays rap, soul gospel. Basically id just tell them to f' off.

Don't listen to them. I've been listening to country for years and I don't give a damn what people think. Have confidence in what you like. Trends and popularity change in the blink of an eye. Like what you like and damn the begrudgers.
