First question you should ask yourself is do you really love him? If not then you should leave him. If you do love him then try to get him to get help with his problems, if he doesn't want help to be clean and to be a better provider then he is just being selfish, not thinking about how his actions and how it effects his family and no one should have to put up with that, so leave him.

The only way he is going to stop and take you serious is if you leave. It will open his eyes and he will be like oh s**t I better get it together if I want my family back. If not then he wasn't worth it in the first place and he didn't Love you the way he should! You have to leave or it will never get better. If you stay it's the same as saying you except it and are ok with it!
Good Luck!

Sometimes the only way to help an addict is by not helping them at all. If he realizes that he is losing you because he is an addict, then he may be willing to seek treatment. If you stay with him and keep helping him (enabling), he will probably stay addicted.

This is an issue that often requires professional help. If you can get one, you should probably see a counselor. Good luck!

My husband smoked marijuana all day long and drank everyday and didn't have a job. I got fed up with it one day and started to pack his stuff so he could leave. That's all it took to make him quit everything and he's been clean for two months now. He's looking for a job tpp. Maybe you should leave atleast to scare him. If it doesn't work he doesn't love you enough to deserve you.

no.

you should try and help him. try to make a difference in his life, and help him become a better person. if he's willing, then he will appreciate you so much for it. you can't however, change the unwilling. does he want to stop doing drugs and drinking? have you talked to him about the situation? you should tell him that you don't like him drinking so much and doing marijuana. if nothing changes, then you should consider leaving him then.

Rehab only works when the person who is abusing WANTS to stop. I'd leave. If that leads him to rehab and you see positive changes then maybe you two have a chance.

he needs a wake up call- I would do something to get him to stop. Maybe an intervention. Go with your gut feeling, leave him if you have to, until he gets help at least. Especailly if there are kids, don't make them suffer.
