Gasoline in my area rose to $3.09 today.
How much are you paying?
Have you been driving less because of the rising cost??
We have been walking to get two or three items from the store. And If my kids want to go to a friends house we just walk over instead of taking the car. How about you?

Oh boy.. it's now up to 3.19/gallon here in the Chicagoland area. And I haven't been out driving the kids anywhere lately, so it may have gone up since yesterday. I have recently been telling my daughter that it's time her "better off" friends to start driving her around since I was the taxi for awhile. Or start using public transporation if she wants to "hang out" with her friends. My son has no problem with taking the train, because his "better off" friends come and pick him up from the station. He's more resourceful. LOL But when it's necessary, I still end up being taxi driver. $40 used to fill my tank, now $70 does. OUCH!~~~ but I'm still driving. Since I do not like shopping anyway, it's the same thing, go there for what I need- period- and do it all at once.

Good, it's about time. We still pay half of what most of the rest of the world pays for gas. This is the only way to help prepare for a future without fuel-oil.

If its a short trip I also walk, or cycle, and console myself that at least I'm helping save the planet.

We have to face the fact that oil production is at its peak and with China's insatiable desire for oil boosting demand and, therefore, prices, high petrol costs are something we are all going to have to get used to.

thank your friendly neighborhood democrats for that one, folks. they vote against EVERY single provision that would allow new domestic oil drilling......check the archives for proof. proposals to drill in ANWAR were shot down, proposals to drill off the atlantic coast were defeated and a bill that would allow drilling off the pacific coast went nowhere.....thanks to the democrats! and the last new refinery was built 30 years ago. we have the same capacity we had in the 70's despite this huge uptick in demand we keep hearing about. so check the facts before you fly off the handle!
