It's called a draft. Right now the Army (I'm not sure about the other branches) is offering a 1,000 dollar bonus to anyone who can get someone to join the army and go to boot camp. That shows your right there that we are hurting. If we go to war with Korea it is expected that the first wave of American soldier... the 30,000 that are already there (S Korea) will be killed within 24 hours. Let me tell you that if people don't start joining you won't have to worry about being a sissy... the government will still take you. And let me tell you that the Koreans are not someone you want to fight. They are vicious. On the DMZ when you walk by them they glare at you to the point where you seriously feel that if a look could kill you would be dead. I am not excited for that war.

I would say we really do not need a full-fledged army on a continual basis. There are a good number of examples of peaceful countries that survive just fine in the world. Costa Rica, Switzerland, Japan (current-day) and Ukraine come to mind. While we would be a target for sure, we still have a little thing called a nuclear deterrent which is a fierce reminder to the countries of what could befall them if they were to attack our homeland.

Saving half a trillion dollars in government expediture isn't a bad side-effect either!

You are probably in the middle to upper class. There is not a problem filling the ranks. Trust me, I am in the Army, 12 years. Even sisi's like you become fighting men and women.

What are we going to do? Well first of all you little coward, the recruiters from all branches of service are meeting their quotas for enlistees. Should that change however, the DRAFT would be reinstated, and pissants like you would find themselves in khaki and camoflage.
