it depends, are u running a windows computer? if so, then it should already have it, windows uses the IE browser also as a file browser, like when you open My Computer, tho are actually IE browsers, just without the address bar, and other things. so if you can't find the icon for it, do a search. anyways, it doesn't matter if you use a different browser to surf the web, they wont make your computer run any faster or slower. if you want the new IE 7 beta, then go to microsoft.com, it should be in the top downloads list.

I would say no, but some pages are designed specifically with IE in mind, I personally use Mozilla's Firefox.
Takes a bit of getting used to, but the fact that Microsoft are copying some of Mozilla's ideas for it's next edition of IE then that should tell you something.
You computer will run perfectly fine without it but I would not bother to uninstall it as it can be a laborious process, so when you install Mozilla's Firefox (a free download from http://www.mozilla.com/ ) there will be an option to make it your default browser, select this option and it will now take the place of IE.
Be sure to use the correct shortcut link on your desktop to access the browser and you are good to go.

You will only need IE (Internet Explorer) installed on your PC if you want to surf the web. However, it is still not necessary to have it for browsing, as there are a variety of 'browsers' available for free!

Try the most recommended one (FIREFOX) at the link below:
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

But you can still use your PC for other things such as ...well why have one anyway!

Vista isn't all that that is cracked as a lot as be. My recommend to you is to go away "information superhighway Explorer", in you equipment. highly being that you've not stated that that is causing you any issues. there's a danger with both homestead windows XP and Vista that you're going to create a issue, in case you eliminate information superhighway Explorer. merely excellent go away issues as is, highly being your equipment is operating high quality. No, but I'd keep it in case some websites are specifically created for IE. Although I hardly ever use it.
