It's a 1997 Dodge Avenger with a 2.4 motor. They said they would have to remove the intake to get at 3 of the plugs and it would cost between 300 and 350 dollars. Is that reasonable?

If the intake needs to be removed it sounds about right. I would check around, but be careful who you take it to.

Definitely reasonable. It is not unheard of to pay $500 for plugs & wires. It all depends on how easy it is to access the plugs. Some cars are poorly designed from a maintenance standpoint. The harder it is to get at the plugs the more it is going to cost.

But, $350 is not a bad price.

Thats the worst motor ever built. It is worth it if your friend can't confidently pull the intake him or herself.
