There are stores that will do it for you. We have one here called "I sold it on Ebay". I am pretty sure it is a chain. Check your yellow pages, there may be some place in your area.

It all depends on a few things, like whether or not you have the time to do an auction, whether or not you have a digital camera and know how to use it, whether or not you want to mess with setting up an eBay account (and maybe a PayPal account, too), and what your time frame is for selling whatever it is you want to sell.
If you have a camera, internet access and can clearly describe an item in English, listing an item on eBay isn't hard. If you don't have these capabilities, take your item to an eBay "trading assistant" (you can find a list of them in your area on eBay's site). Before starting this endeavor, you should create an eBay account. This is really easy. If you want to accept electronic payment for your item, you will need to set up a PayPal account, and that's easy too.
Most of the listing instructions on the eBay site are pretty straight forward - if you have issues, tho, ask a friend who's an eBayer. I wouldn't recommend using a listing program (like eBay's Turbo Lister) for your first listing. Really, all you have to do is come up with a title, write a description (the more info the better), upload some pictures of the item to be sold, pick a layout and submit your listing. You may want to look on eBay for items similar to yours and see how other people are listing them (always good for inspiration).
Good luck!
(btw, did I mention that I work for a Trading Post? lol)

You probably want to know a little bit about computers and the internet, or be real good friends with someone who is. In order to sell stuff on ebay, your going to need to know how to upload pictures onto the computer and know how to use an e-mail address.

It's hard to do well and receive a good price if you don't do your legwork in advance. If you simply want to get rid of something and don't care if you get the highest price, then it's easy to post an auction and make probably in the neighborhood of 75-80% of what might be possible with a good strategy.

There are services now that will sell your stuff for you on E-Bay. They know how to post a listing, add the photograph, and get the money through PayPal. All you have to do is take the item to them and give them a commission.
Look around your community for one of these if you don't feel comfortable trying to sell it yourself.

you can always take a computer basic course usually offered at community colleges or local libraries --- it's not that hard ---I learned how to use a computer at the library --- they were real helpful in teaching me the basic skills.....in a few days I was surfing the net and making purchases!

You don't really need to know jack-**** about PC's.
If you wanna sell - the buyer is out there and will bid against the rest, so sit back and take the best bid!

Perhaps the problem isn't how much you now know, but rather,....how fast do you, or can you, learn.
