Brain Stokers Dracula, American Werewolf in London, as a kid of the late 50's and 60's I loved to watch all of the old classics's, the mommy, Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolf Man, the creature from the black lagoon, The Fifty Foot Woman. All of the old black and white flicks are a hoot now, but we thought they were scary back than. Invasion From Mars, Journey to the center of the Earth, Jason and the Argonauts, Time Machine, lets not forget all of the Godzilla movies, the original King Kong Japanese uncut version. I know there are more but I can't think of them right now.

"Kenny and company" Came out in 1976 I think. I haven't seen it in years, but it's about the misadventures of some youngsters on Halloween. It's pretty campy. Kinda like "Drive In" which came out around the same time but scarier...

How about David Lynch's "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me"? That's surely a bit on the dark, creepy side.
